Job Description

The Assemble performs final assembly of electromechanical products, working from blueprints, schematics, and written specifications to build high-quality assemblies that meet strict inspection and performance standards. This role combines mechanical and electrical assembly, precision fitting, testing, and documentation within a production environment that values safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and written specifications to complete assemblies accurately.
  • Adjust, fit, and align components to close tolerances to meet inspection and functional requirements.
  • Operate hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, including wiring, soldering, crimping, and cable harness layout.
  • Conduct functional and diagnostic testing of assemblies to verify performance and identify issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during assembly and testing.
  • Inspect components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality control standards and specifications.
  • Apply process improvement and lean principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the assembly process.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of tools and equipment, and help maintain a safe, clean work area.
  • Adapt to changes in procedures, schedules, or technologies as production needs evolve.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical assembly experience with the ability to assemble mechanical systems and components with precision.
  • Electrical assembly skills, including wiring, soldering, and testing electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics accurately.
  • Proficient operation of hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and soldering irons.
  • Experience with machine operation, including operating and troubleshooting automated assembly equipment.
  • Knowledge of assembly techniques, including sub-assemblies, point-to-point wiring, and cable harness layout.
  • Quality control skills, including inspecting components and assemblies to meet strict standards.
  • Technical troubleshooting ability to diagnose and resolve issues during assembly and testing.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all assembly tasks.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly while maintaining workflow.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation of assembly procedures, inspections, and test results.
  • Commitment to safety compliance and adherence to established safety protocols.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51200.00 - $59425.00/yr.
