Job Description


EHS Specialist - Cleveland, OH, Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Pay range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsible for administering,developingand coordinating programs designed to protect employees and the environment from harmful accidents. Responsibilities also include assuring compliance with all federal,stateand local regulations pertaining to employee health and safety.




Responsibilities:
  • Adapts and implements corporate safety,healthand environmental policies.
  • Develops, administersor coordinatesplansand programs designed to maintain high level of safety awareness among managers and employees.
  • Administers all aspects of the workers' compensation insurance function.
  • Provides monthly safety reports to upper management and regional managers.
  • Performs or coordinates on-site safety inspections at main laboratory campus, STAT labs,PSCsand other field locations.
  • Analyzes accident/incident trends and develops trainingor other programs to reduce incidents.

Required WorkExperience:

3+ years of related experience

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Commercial ClinicalLaboratory Operations, and defensive driving skills and techniques.
  • Familiarity with OSHA,EPAand DOT federal and state regulations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
