Why Work Here?
You will join a close-knit, family-like facility that values connection, support, and breaking up the routine of day-to-day work. The team regularly organizes events every few weeks to build camaraderie and make the workday more enjoyable. You also have access to an on-premise chaplain, offering the opportunity for confidential, supportive conversations during the workday. This environment emphasizes community, respect, and the well-being of each team member.
Work Environment
This role is based in a cold, wet industrial facility that operates in a slaughterhouse environment, where low temperatures are necessary for product safety and quality. The floor is regularly washed to remove excess materials, so surfaces can be wet and require appropriate caution and footwear. You will spend most of your shift on your feet, moving between the dock and storage areas, operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and handheld RF scanners, and using computers for data entry. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, and appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety and comfort in cold and wet conditions.
