Job Title: Distribution Lead
Job Description

The Distribution Lead is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves managing team performance, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with other departments to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Role model safe behaviors and hold the team accountable to safety standards.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of safety incidents.
  • Manage employee time management and work performance coaching with the supervisor.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within the shift team.
  • Train and coach associates to achieve operational goals.
  • Create a positive team environment encouraging feedback for process improvement.
  • Recognize good team performance and apply the reward & recognition program.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators for team performance.
  • Ensure hourly performance tracking and escalate issues to the supervisor.
  • Cross-train staff to ensure sufficient resources for departmental tasks.
  • Review staffing to ensure appropriate coverage to support volume.
  • Lead projects for continuous improvement and observe CIL/5S/GMP Standards.
  • Ensure completion of Quality Behavior Observations for the DTC line.
  • Communicate with the customer support team for daily follow-ups.
  • Ensure fulfillment follows FIFO to avoid product rework/scrap.
  • Proactively communicate with the distribution supervisor regarding performance.
  • Ensure proper inventory control best practices and manage aging product disposition.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Continuous standing/walking in a warehouse environment for 8 hours or more.
  • Frequent push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to manage products.
  • Continuous lifting of 20 lbs, frequent lifting of 25-40 lbs, and occasional lifting of 50 lbs or more.
  • Frequent stacking of pallets and totes up to 6 feet tall.
  • Frequent lifting above the shoulders.
  • Frequent picking and packing of bags of coffee up to 3 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
