Job Title: Material Handler Lead
Job Description

The Material Handler Lead performs a wide range of warehouse duties related to the receipt, storage, staging, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role uses gas and electric forklifts and related attachments to move product safely and efficiently, supports production by staging materials, and maintains accurate documentation and inventory flow. The position starts with safety training at a nearby facility and then transitions to a front half day shift schedule in Wilsonville: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse activities related to the receipt, shipment, storage, and distribution of product.
  • Load and unload finished product into trailers according to delivery or routing documents and supervisor instructions.
  • Unload and load production materials into trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use gas and electric powered forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, to move product safely throughout the facility.
  • Manage warehouse inventory and product flow to support production and shipping schedules.
  • Stage materials accurately and on time for production runs.
  • Perform warehouse sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Package and move recycling and production waste according to facility procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and production staff using RedZone chat and other communication tools.
  • Maintain accurate, neatly written documentation for inventory, shipments, and receipts.
  • Rotate through all production forklift positions as needed to support operations.
  • Operate and troubleshoot all robot palletizers on the Tualatin campus as required.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and attachments such as tote dumpers, in compliance with safety standards.
  • Use SAP and RF scanners to receive materials and load finished goods, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety regulations at all times.
  • Complete required safety training at the Tualatin facility and apply learned practices on the regular shift.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of warehouse or material handling experience.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, including gas and electric forklifts and sit-down forklifts.
  • Ability to pass an English safety class and competency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and pallet movement.
  • Ability to use SAP for warehouse transactions such as receiving materials and loading finished goods.
  • Experience using RF scanners for shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
  • Effective decision-making skills and independent judgment in daily tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with other departments.
  • Physical ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds with a pallet jack.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating stand-up forklifts and powered industrial equipment attachments such as tote dumpers.
  • Familiarity with robot palletizers and basic troubleshooting in a production environment.
  • Comfort using digital communication tools such as RedZone chat to coordinate with production teams.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and warehouse safety regulations.
  • Ability to maintain neat and accurate written documentation for audits and operational tracking.
  • Willingness to rotate through multiple forklift and warehouse positions to support operational needs.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean warehouse environment supporting production and distribution operations. Initial safety training takes place at a nearby Tualatin facility during daytime hours, after which the position transitions to a front half day shift in Wilsonville: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The work involves frequent use of powered industrial equipment, including gas and electric forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and attachments such as tote dumpers, as well as interaction with robot palletizers. Daily tasks require the use of SAP, RF scanners, and digital communication tools. The position is physically active, involving pushing and pulling heavy loads with a pallet jack and lifting up to 35 pounds frequently, in a structured, safety- and GMP-focused setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $23.50/hr.
