Seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee a dynamic technology environment within a growing organization. This leadership role emphasizes strategic management and team mentorship in a fast-paced, retail-support environment, ensuring operational excellence across cloud and virtualization platforms.
Role Overview
This position provides senior-level management of IT systems, focusing on guiding and developing a team of system administrators and engineers. Responsible for overseeing the overall IT environment, ensuring reliable infrastructure operations, and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 system administrators and engineers, fostering professional development and high performance
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Ensure secure and reliable network connectivity through VPN and VDI technologies, supporting thin clients and terminal services
- Prioritize IT projects, coordinate resource allocation, and ensure timely delivery of IT solutions
- Support and optimize IT infrastructure to support retail operations, maintaining system availability and performance
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement new technologies and upgrades
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing IT teams in a systems administration or infrastructure environment
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors, Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, VPN solutions, and VDI technologies
- Experience supporting retail operations environments and enterprise-scale IT environments
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and team management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and oversee ongoing IT operations
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with thin client management and terminal services environments
- Familiarity with retail-specific IT challenges and solutions
- Previous experience in a primarily supervisory or strategic leadership role over technical teams
