EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by a mid-size organization seeking a Director of Information Technology to oversee all technology operations, cybersecurity, and compliance initiatives. This role partners closely with senior leadership to ensure the company’s systems, infrastructure, and security posture effectively support business goals while maintaining a resilient and compliant IT environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the IT department, overseeing infrastructure, applications, hardware/software, storage, and helpdesk operations
  • Ensure strong cybersecurity practices, including policies, controls, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Maintain compliance with CMMC requirements and other applicable frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR
  • Evaluate, select, implement, and support the company’s ERP system
  • Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and readiness
  • Manage identity and access management, data protection, and endpoint security
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, scalable technology solutions
  • Identify and recommend technology improvements that enhance security, efficiency, and operational performance
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure third‑party compliance with security requirements
  • Communicate IT strategy, risks, and cybersecurity posture to senior leadership
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT issues and maintain a high standard of service delivery

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, networks, infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience with CMMC compliance, regulatory audits, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
  • Proven ability to design and implement security architecture, threat detection, and incident response processes
  • Familiarity with IAM, encryption, data protection, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience managing IT budgets, teams, and third‑party vendors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate business needs and proactively address technology and security risks
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; master’s preferred
  • 8–10 years of IT leadership experience, ideally within wholesale distribution or a similar industry
  • 5+ years managing IT teams and implementing enterprise systems
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP
