Oversee and lead fundraising, development, and community engagement strategies for Lincoln Christian School while strengthening ties with the broader family of churches.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a multi-year strategic development plan that aligns with the school’s mission and vision and with development goals, church goals, and current systems and processes.
Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize fundraising needs and master plan for LCS.
Cultivate relationships with individuals, families, extended family, alumni, alumni-parents, corporations, foundations, and community partners to secure major gifts, departmental gifts, annual fund contributions, scholarship funds, and planned gifts.
Oversee all aspects of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives, such as the Bulldog Fund, Opportunity Scholarship Fund, capital campaigns, and planned giving.
Ensure proper stewardship and recognition of all donors and supporters through personalized communication, public recognition, and appreciation events.
Research and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and organizations that align with the school’s values.
Serve as a bridge between Lincoln Christian School and our family of churches to build collaborative initiatives, strengthen relationships, and create opportunities for shared investment in both the school and family of churches.
Oversee the creation of impactful communication materials that highlight the school’s achievements, vision, and needs in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team.
Partner with the Fine Arts, Athletics, and like departments to raise funds and elevate program awareness through sponsorship opportunities and events, and actively contribute to the growth and retention of LCS’s students.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support development events and initiatives, fostering a culture of generosity and involvement.
Maintain accurate records of donor engagement and contributions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and all legal and ethical standards, and monitor and analyze fundraising metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field, with a proven track record of securing major gifts and managing comprehensive campaigns
Strong commitment to the mission and values of Lincoln Christian School and its family of churches
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to cast vision and motivate others, including staff, donors, and volunteers
Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems
