Job Description:
The Device Deployment Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and support of end-user devices across clinical and operational environments. This role ensures that all hardware is properly deployed, integrated with Epic systems, and fully functional to support patient care and business operations. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with clinical staff in fast-paced healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test end-user devices, including workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Ensure proper integration and functionality of devices and their associated applications.
- Label, inventory, and accurately place devices according to organizational standards and deployment plans.
- Perform device validation to confirm correct configuration, connectivity, and system performance.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and support during and after deployment activities.
- Interact professionally with clinical and operational staff to minimize workflow disruption and ensure positive user experience.
- Work across multiple facilities and departments, adapting to shifting priorities and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployment activities, asset tracking, and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Experience deploying and supporting end-user devices in enterprise or healthcare environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed.
- Experience in healthcare IT environments.
- Knowledge of device imaging, asset management tools, and network connectivity basics.
