Responsible for advanced troubleshooting, server maintenance, and coordination with network/system administrators to ensure smooth data center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot server issues to identify root causes with support from remote network/system admins.
Coordinate procurement, replacement, and return of defective hardware components.
Perform server firmware upgrades as per approved versions.
Configure server IP addresses and default credentials following standard procedures.
Collaborate with network teams on cable replacement, re-routing, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades.
Rack, stack, and cable servers/switches for remote configuration and validation.
Provide hands-on support for ad hoc server/network-related requests.
Perform structured cabling as per wiring diagrams and validate connectivity with network teams.
Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, and consumables for inventory accuracy.
