As a Vice President, Data Management Strategy in the Internal Audit Chief Data Office, you will define the data vision and target state, set priorities for strategic initiatives, and deliver actionable plans that improve data quality, authority, and usability. You will collaborate across business and corporate functions, translate complex concepts into clear narratives, and influence outcomes in a consensus‑driven environment. Job responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, engineering, data science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of industry experience in data engineering or product roles with proven strategy execution responsibility.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and conceptual problem‑solving, including hypothesis‑driven analysis.
- Experience in a management consulting firm, technology company, banking division, or internal strategy group with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders and executives.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and create executive‑ready materials.
- Familiarity with AI and data management concepts, with the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of data product development and tech build to create quality and scalable features/solutions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with data management and governance practices, big data platforms, or data architecture.
- MBA or advanced degree from a highly regarded program
- Experience with Databricks, Thoughtspot, Genie
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Alteryx
