Vice President of Enterprises
Brookshire, TX
Our client, a Christ-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to serving adults with disabilities, is seeking a Vice President of Enterprises. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This leader will hold strategic and operational accountability for the full portfolio of our client's revenue-generating enterprises and will steward enterprise operations toward disciplined break-even performance while envisioning meaningful expansion.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and communicate a clear, compelling enterprise vision that integrates Brookwood’s God-centered mission with financial sustainability, presenting that vision to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
• Envision and develop new mission-aligned enterprise offerings—including expanded dining concepts, strengthened retail experiences, and emerging revenue streams—that grow Brookwood’s vocational footprint and extend our reach without compromising Citizen experience or financial discipline.
• Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to establish enterprise goals, metrics, and accountability frameworks aligned with the organization’s SOW priorities (Steward our People, Optimize our Operations, Wisdom for Tomorrow).
• Faithfully steward the enterprise P&L with full accountability for revenue, cost management, margin improvement, and the pursuit of break-even performance across the Café, Store, Horticulture Division, and online, wholesale, and corporate order channels—operating with the zero-cost-basis discipline that defines Brookwood’s ministry culture.
• Analyze product-level margins, labor models, and operational costs to inform pricing strategy, product mix decisions, and resource allocation.
• Deliver clear, regular financial reporting to the CEO and Board as requested, translating enterprise data into actionable strategic insight.
• Oversee daily operations of the Brookwood Café, Store, and Horticulture Division—including in-person retail, online sales, wholesale fulfillment, and corporate orders—ensuring excellence in product quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Directly supervise enterprise Directors and build a high-performing leadership team characterized by shared accountability, clear expectations, and a commitment to Interdependence across historically siloed departments.
• Partner with the Chief Citizen Officer and program leaders to ensure enterprise staffing models, training systems, and safety protocols fully support Citizen participation and growth.
• Cultivate and grow Brookwood’s B2B revenue channels—wholesale accounts and corporate order relationships—through active account development, retention, and strategic vendor and community collaborations that expand reach and revenue while honoring our brand and mission.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, operations, or a related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience, including at least five years in a senior role with P&L accountability—preferably within mission-driven or faith-based organizations, social enterprise, retail, food service, or hospitality environments.
• Demonstrated success leading disciplined operational growth or stewardship efforts—strengthening business units toward financial sustainability while expanding their reach and impact.
• Strong financial acumen with direct experience in budgeting, margin analysis, pricing strategy, and KPI-driven performance management.
