Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Architect with expertise in both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions, driving domain-specific data modeling, and ensuring the analytical data store concepts are effectively applied to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below)..


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures on GCP and Azure platforms.
  • Lead domain-driven data modeling initiatives to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and optimize data marts, data warehouses, and analytical data stores.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with organizational goals.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Provide hands-on expertise in setting up data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud data technologies and incorporate them into solution architectures..


Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with both GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of analytical data store concepts and architecture.
  • Proven experience with data modeling, designing data marts, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Expertise in domain-driven design for data models.
  • Experience with cloud-native data tools and services such as BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Dataproc, and more.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
