SKILLS REQUIRED:
Primary (Must-Have):
• Advanced Azure DevOps Suite: Mastery over the entire Azure DevOps ecosystem, including Azure DevOps Server, Boards, and deep automation utilizing Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Multi-Cloud Architecture: Proven experience designing and scaling secure enterprise architectures across one or more dominant cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Identity & Access Management: Comprehensive engineering hands-on experience utilizing Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) / Entra ID for secure corporate identity management.
• Cloud Migration & Governance: Successful track record leading complex, zero-downtime migrations of legacy on-premises applications to high-availability cloud frameworks.
• Infrastructure as Code & Discovery: Competency in cloud optimization, structural configuration, and automated cloud discovery tools across GCP or Azure landscapes.
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Financial Services Compliance: Around 9 to 13 years of technical experience, ideally navigating the rigid data security, governance, and audit compliance landscapes of enterprise financial or banking institutions.
• Cost Optimization & FinOps: Experience analyzing cloud usage telemetry to drive cost-efficiency, load-balancing optimization, and proactive performance tuning.
• Industry Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications are highly valued (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly sophisticated, visionary Enterprise Cloud Architect / DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to join our elite technology team on-site in Chicago, IL. This role is crucial to driving critical digital transformation initiatives, demanding an engineer with a deep blend of technical cloud architecture wisdom and modern CI/CD automation expertise. The successful candidate will design, build, and govern highly scalable cloud structures, orchestrate reliable application code pipelines, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver resilient, cost-efficient hybrid infrastructure solutions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Architect, deploy, and safeguard enterprise-grade cloud topologies across multi-cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) tailored to strict financial security bounds.
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD automated deployment engines using Azure DevOps Pipelines to drastically elevate code delivery velocities.
• Lead complex on-premises to cloud migration workstreams, implementing structural patterns that ensure absolute service availability and minimal business friction.
• Manage corporate identity baselines, authentication, and directory permissions securely utilizing Azure Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Review, audit, and tune live cloud configurations to maximize system elasticity, security posture, and financial budget efficiency.
• Act as the principal technical advisor across engineering teams, mapping complex technical capabilities into digestible roadmaps for non-technical leadership stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot high-severity infrastructure faults, configure proactive telemetry alerting, and draft high-fidelity system documentation to preserve platform knowledge.
