Position Overview

1787 Legal Group is seeking a motivated Corporate Litigation Counsel to join our growing civil litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney with litigation experience who is looking to further develop their skills while working on complex civil matters. The Corporate Litigation Counsel will work closely with firm leadership and senior attorneys to support case strategy, conduct legal research, assist with discovery and motion practice, and help drive successful outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior attorneys with the management of civil litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda regarding litigation strategy, legal issues, and case evaluation.
  • Support motion practice, including drafting pleadings, motions, responses, and other court filings.
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting written discovery, reviewing document productions, and preparing discovery responses.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and assist in preparing matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Assist with case evaluation and factual investigations.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines in accordance with court rules and firm procedures.
QualificationsEducation
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing
Experience
  • 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience in personal injury, commercial litigation, or other civil litigation practice areas preferred
  • Exposure to motion practice, discovery, and case preparation
  • Experience with mediation, arbitration, or trial preparation is a plus
