Our client, a financial services firm in the Harrisburg, PA area, is currently seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to lead their internal legal team. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the legal department, managing outside counsel and providing legal advice in the areas of commercial lending, lending compliance, regulatory changes and risk management. This role is in office 2-3 days a week.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as company's primary legal counsel
- Provide legal advice across all business units
- Provide legal advice on FCA Regulations, state law, consumer lending and regulations
- Regulations include TILA, TRID, ECOA, RESPA and Bank/ACA policies
- Support board governance by drafting corporate documents
- Participate in board meetings
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience as a financial services attorney
- Well versed in commercial banking law, consumer banking and real estate law
- Bankruptcy and creditor's rights knowledge
- Understanding of commercial litigation
- Excellent communicator
