Our $30M wholesale client is looking for a strong Controller to lead its finance function. This is an incredible growth opportunity to replace a retiring leader. The position will grow into a higher level as this is the top finance role. The culture is warm and collaborative with a strong team.
Essential Functions:
1. Oversight of key areas of organization including all accounting, finance, banking, insurance, legal, and human resources functions.
2. Guide policy setting and administrative decisions.
3. Advise on all executive level decisions regarding company.
4. Manage accounting, credit, and human resource department staff.
5. Collaborate with managers and employees.
6. Run and analyze daily and monthly financial reports.
7. Advise managers regarding financial and legal matters.
8. Review payroll bi-weekly and process data to the accounting system.
9. Oversee monthly journal entries, financial statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, commissions, stipend payments, and expense report review.
10. Perform all daily and monthly banking and cash management functions.
11. Calculate royalty payments quarterly.
12. Annually manage yearly budget, year-end close, financial audit, insurance audit, and overall insurance
13. Participate in annual review and renewal of all employee benefit and insurance policies.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• Previous management experience
Preferred Education and Experience
• CPA license is preferred
• In lieu of CPA credentials, more than 5 years of accounting and/or financial management experience
Additional Qualifications
• Previous experience working in distribution or warehouse environment
• Knowledge of Acumatica or similar ERP
