A rapidly growing distribution company is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the finance and accounting function and partner closely with the leadership team as the business continues to scale.
This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, providing financial visibility across warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, and customer programs. The Controller will play a key role in improving financial processes, strengthening reporting, and driving profitability across the organization.
We are looking for a finance leader who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level — someone who understands the business drivers but is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in the numbers.
What You’ll Own
- Lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage month-end close, financial statements, audits, and internal controls
- Develop financial models and reporting to support pricing, margin analysis, and operational performance
- Partner closely with operations, fulfillment, and logistics leadership to analyze cost drivers and improve profitability
- Support RFP pricing, vendor negotiations, and contract profitability analysis
- Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and banking relationships
- Help implement scalable systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
- Provide financial insight to leadership to support growth initiatives, facility expansion, and operational investments
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting / finance experience
- Experience in logistics, fulfillment, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis
- Ability to partner with operations to understand cost structures, labor efficiency, and fulfillment economics
- Strong Excel / financial modeling capabilities
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
