Financial Controller | Atlanta Area | In-Office
Paramount Legal is partnering with a growing, highly respected law firm to identify an experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the firm’s financial operations.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to executive leadership, offering the opportunity to drive financial strategy, strengthen processes, and support the continued growth of a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and billing
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
- Monitor cash flow and overall financial performance
- Manage banking relationships, reconciliations, and treasury functions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls
- Partner with leadership on financial planning, profitability, and strategic initiatives
- Supervise and develop accounting staff and/or external resources
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
- Experience managing payroll, banking transactions, and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks or similar)
- High level of integrity and discretion
Preferred:
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with legal billing platforms (Clio or similar)
- Knowledge of trust accounting and compliance requirements
