Role Description
The Construction Site Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role coordinates with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities from start to completion
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed construction schedules to ensure timely project delivery
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and labor workforce
- Ensure project timelines and milestones are met according to the schedule
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Resolve any on-site issues, delays, or conflicts promptly
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and daily logs
- Communicate progress updates to project managers and stakeholders
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and materials
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office
- OSHA certification or strong knowledge of safety compliance (preferred)
Work Environment:
- Primarily on construction sites with exposure to outdoor conditions
- May require travel between multiple project locations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
