Construction Manager (Construction Safety & Delivery Lead) - Capital Projects

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site execution on a major regulated construction project. This role acts as the client’s primary point of accountability during the construction phase, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the client’s construction lead, managing compliance with the Construction Phase Plan
• Liaise with the Principal Designer/Consultant on ongoing design and construction risk management
• Ensure Construction Safety and Management Plans are developed, implemented, and maintained
• Oversee contractors, reviewing methods of work, temporary works, and delivery of work packages
• Manage site safety, logistics, security, fire protection, and environmental controls
• Ensure compliance with QA plans and ITPs; carry out inspections and drive corrective actions
• Maintain site records, diaries, and H&S statistics for reporting
• Support accident and incident investigations and workforce safety initiatives
• Ensure inductions, permits, licenses, and regulatory consents are in place
• Lead constructability reviews and support performance reporting at key project milestones

Requirements

• Strong construction management experience in regulated environments
• Proven contractor management and health & safety leadership
• Solid understanding of construction safety, QA/QC, and compliance frameworks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Location & Schedule

• Site-based during the construction phase
• Standard construction hours with flexibility as required
