Fencing Installer

Outdoor Construction Work with a Tight-Knit Crew

We are seeking a dependable Fencing Installer to join a small, experienced crew installing high-quality residential, commercial, and agricultural fencing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on construction work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that values craftsmanship, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do

As a Fencing Installer, you will work in the field installing a wide variety of fencing systems while supporting the foreman and crew. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing agricultural and residential fencing, including posts, wire, gates, and panels
  • Working with multiple fencing materials, such as:
    • Picket, privacy, and split rail fencing
    • Cedar wood fencing
    • Chain link fencing
    • Ornamental steel and aluminum fencing
    • Vinyl and composite fencing
  • Assisting with digging post holes using augers and gas-powered post drivers
  • Lifting, positioning, and setting fence posts and gates
  • Pouring and finishing concrete footings
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting tools and materials
  • Performing site cleanup and maintaining a safe, organized work area
  • Performing continuous physical labor, including lifting, stretching, bending, and carrying materials

Projects typically range from 50 feet to 600 feet of fencing, providing variety in daily work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Construction, installation, or general labor experience
  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and physical work
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to learn fence installation methods and construction techniques
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Prior fence installation experience
  • Experience using power tools
  • Concrete construction or finishing experience
  • Landscaping or site preparation experience
  • Ability to operate skid loaders or similar equipment
  • Entry-level carpentry skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Work alongside a small crew, including a hands-on working foreman
  • Specialized equipment provided to reduce physical strain, including:
    • Augers
    • Gas-powered post drivers
    • Skid loaders
  • Report to the shop each morning and travel to job sites in a company vehicle
  • Schedule:
    • Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Fridays are rare and typically overtime
  • Seasonal role: work typically pauses when the ground freezes (historically around late December)

Dress Code & Safety

  • Jeans and T-shirt (no sleeveless shirts)
  • Construction boots required
  • Company-provided logoed T-shirt and sweatshirt
  • PPE provided: hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
