Overview

A premier Class A multifamily community in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations, team leadership, and resident experience. This individual will serve as the primary leader on-site, ensuring the community operates efficiently while maintaining high standards for service, occupancy, and financial performance.

The Community Manager will work closely with regional leadership, on-site staff, and vendors to drive operational excellence, maintain strong resident relations, and ensure compliance with all property management regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the residential community, ensuring exceptional service and property standards
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate on-site staff including leasing and maintenance team members
  • Manage resident relations, communications, and lease administration
  • Oversee rent collection, receipting, and deposits using property management software (AppFolio preferred)
  • Monitor community financial performance, including budgets, variance reporting, and expense control
  • Prepare weekly and monthly ownership reports and assist with annual budget preparation
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure efficient work order completion, inspections, and unit turnovers
  • Identify and manage vendors and contractors, including obtaining bids and monitoring performance
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and all federal, state, and local property regulations
  • Handle legal notices, documentation, and eviction proceedings in coordination with legal counsel
  • Oversee marketing initiatives and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and provide leadership to maintain a high-performing team environment

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of property management experience in multifamily housing
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience managing Class A or luxury apartment communities preferred
  • Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio preferred)
  • Strong understanding of revenue management and property financials is a plus
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and property management regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when working with residents, staff, and vendors
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
