Job Title: Commercial Litigation Associate (2nd–5th year)

Location: Los Angeles, California

Basic Salary Range: $225,000–$325,000

A leading international law firm with a top-tier litigation practice is seeking a talented associate to join its commercial disputes team. The practice handles complex, high-value business disputes across a range of industries, often involving sophisticated legal issues, significant financial exposure, and fast-moving litigation matters. Associates are trusted with meaningful responsibility and work closely with senior attorneys and clients.

Overview:

Seeking a 2nd–5th year litigation associate to join a busy commercial litigation practice. The role offers exposure to all phases of complex litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing key phases of complex, high-stakes commercial disputes from initiation through resolution
• Overseeing and coordinating critical stages of dispute resolution proceedings, ensuring effective case progression
• Handling end-to-end processes in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including strategy and execution

Qualifications:

• Must be admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction of the primary office
• Strong academic record with good written and verbal communication skills
• Previous law firm and/or clerkship experience preferred
• Experience with discovery, drafting and arguing motions, witness preparation, and taking or defending depositions
• Experience on both plaintiff and defense sides is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary $225,000–$325,000, commensurate with experience
