CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist

An exciting opportunity is available for a CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist in Fort Myers, FL with a growing machining and manufacturing operation offering a four-day work week and the chance to take ownership of complex CNC programming and setup work. This is a standout opportunity for a proven Mastercam expert who can independently program, set up, and prove out CNC mills and lathes while helping improve quality, throughput, and overall machine utilization.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist position include:

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
• Extensive Mastercam programming experience required
• Strong hands-on experience programming and setting up CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Experience with horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers, multi-axis machining up to 5-axis, and CNC lathes with live tooling
• Ability to perform machine setups, prove-outs, first-piece inspections, and process validation with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, workholding, feeds, speeds, GD&T, and machining best practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• HAAS machinery, Fanuc controls, aerospace manufacturing, high-mix/low-volume job shop, and cycle-time reduction experience preferred

Salary: $40 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
