Clinical Scientist – Rare Kidney Disease Biotech | Boston, MA

With funding anticipated in the near term and a highly experienced leadership team already in place, this is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career Clinical Scientist looking to accelerate their development within a dynamic biotech environment.
This role offers direct mentorship from an accomplished Clinical Development leader and the opportunity to contribute to two global clinical studies at a pivotal stage of the company's growth.
The Opportunity
As a Clinical Scientist, you will play a hands-on role supporting the design, execution, and oversight of global clinical development programs in rare renal disease. Working within a lean and collaborative team, you will gain broad exposure across clinical development activities and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.
This is an ideal position for someone with up to three years of industry experience who is looking to move beyond a large pharmaceutical or CRO environment and join a company where their contributions will be highly visible.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution and scientific oversight of two global clinical studies.
- Collaborate with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, and external partners.
- Contribute to protocol development, study documents, and clinical study reports.
- Assist with data review, interpretation, and presentation of clinical findings.
- Support interactions with investigators, CROs, and key external stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional study team meetings and program discussions.
- Help drive clinical trial delivery while maintaining scientific rigor and patient focus.
Candidate Profile
- MSc, PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent scientific qualification.
- Up to 3 years of industry experience within Clinical Development, Clinical Science, Clinical Research, or a related function.
- Experience supporting clinical trials within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments.
- Strong scientific foundation and enthusiasm for clinical development.
- Interest in rare diseases and a desire to learn within a fast-paced biotech setting.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
