Job Title: Industrial Cleaner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety in general facility and shop areas. This role involves ensuring a clean and organized environment by performing routine cleaning tasks, supporting production needs, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general facility and shop cleaning, including mopping floors and cleaning up oil, coolant, grease, and debris.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas around machines, docks, and production floors.
  • Clean out machines and workstations by removing scrap, oil, burs, and residue.
  • Empty scrap bins and hoppers; dispose of waste materials properly.
  • Assist with basic machine clean-out tasks, including wiping down equipment.
  • Support production by refilling machine fluids (oil, coolant, water) as directed.
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, sorting, and organizing materials.
  • Load and unload shipments; assist with dock work using pallet jacks and overhead cranes when needed.
  • Package parts, stage materials, and assist with order fulfillment.
  • Perform basic deburring, chamfering, and part cleaning as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Support other departments with general utility duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in cleaning and maintaining facility areas.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • No experience required, but prior manufacturing, laborer, or forklift experience is a plus

Work Environment

The work environment includes two plants specializing in hydraulic fittings and adapters. You will be part of a team of 30-32 employees, working in either a CNC plant or a screw machine shop. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.27 - $16.27/hr.
