Job Title: Machine Cleaner
Job Description

The Machine Cleaner plays a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and efficient production operations by thoroughly cleaning CNC and other production equipment after jobs are completed. This position focuses on heavy cleaning tasks, removal of metal chips and scrap, and coolant changes, while supporting general janitorial and labor activities across the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Clean production equipment thoroughly after jobs are completed to keep machinery in optimal operating condition.
  • Perform heavy cleaning tasks, including removing metal chips and scrap from CNC equipment.
  • Change coolants on CNC equipment according to established procedures.
  • Carry out general janitorial and cleaning duties in production and common areas as needed.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms, ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are available and organized.
  • Monitor equipment and work areas and promptly notify management of any deficiencies, damage, or need for repairs.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with other staff members to support smooth production operations.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies while performing cleaning and labor tasks.
Essential Skills
  • Experience performing laborer or general labor tasks in an industrial or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with machine cleaning or cleaning production equipment.
  • Ability to perform janitorial and general cleaning duties, including heavy cleansing tasks.
  • Capability to safely handle and remove metal chips, scrap, and other production debris.
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations and adhere to established procedures.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to cooperate with other staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CNC equipment and basic understanding of production processes.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic, with consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Attention to detail when cleaning equipment and maintaining supply rooms.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large machine shop environment that is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The facility spans approximately 70,000 square feet and employs around 250 people across multiple shifts, providing a busy and collaborative production setting. This position is available on first shift, working from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in an industrial setting with CNC and other production equipment in operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansdale, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
