Civil Litigation Attorney

A busy litigation and trial firm in downtown Orlando, FL is seeking an Associate or Of-Counsel Attorney with 3–10+ years of civil litigation experience. The firm handles national, regional, and local matters representing Fortune 500 clients across product liability, automotive, industrial equipment, and general civil defense litigation.

Responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions across a variety of civil litigation matters
• Argue hearings and motions before state and federal courts
• Investigate and defend liability matters from inception through trial
• Prepare cases for trial including strategy development, expert coordination, and trial documents
• Report directly to and communicate with Fortune 500 clients on case status and strategy
• Work collaboratively within a team-oriented firm culture

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of civil litigation experience; product liability defense experience a strong plus
• Florida bar admission required (or eligibility to waive in)
• Demonstrated ability to take and defend depositions independently
• Strong legal writing skills and analytical ability
• Trial experience preferred but not required
• Must be available to work in-office Monday–Friday in Orlando

• The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
