Location: Nashua, New Hampshire

Compensation: $225,000 – $240,000 base salary + bonus

A well-established and growing financial institution in Southern New Hampshire is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced finance leader to help guide the next phase of growth, strategic planning, and operational excellence within a community-focused organization. The firm is entering an exciting stage of expansion and is seeking a hands-on, strategic executive who can oversee all financial operations, strengthen infrastructure, and partner closely with leadership on long-term business objectives.


Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for leading the organization’s accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory functions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while ensuring financial integrity, sound risk management, and scalable processes to support future growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, payables/receivables, and financial controls
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage liquidity, cash flow, funding strategies, and key banking relationships
  • Prepare financial statements, board reporting packages, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting
  • Direct the annual budgeting and financial planning process in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Oversee investment portfolio reporting and support strategic capital decisions
  • Ensure completion of all required regulatory filings and compliance reporting
  • Monitor liquidity through forecasting, stress testing, and asset-liability planning
  • Evaluate systems, workflows, and internal controls to improve operational efficiency
  • Partner with auditors, consultants, and external stakeholders as needed
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Banking, financial institution, or highly regulated financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, MBA, or advanced credentials preferred
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, treasury, reporting, and compliance
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive strategy and execution
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
