Title: Business Operations Specialist PM

Location: 100% onsite- Sanford, NC

Type: Contract

Length: 12 months

Pay: $23.10/hr on w2- no flex with rate

Screenings: full panel drug and background (criminal, employment, education) once hired

+optional benefits, intention to convert to full time after 6 months


Must have:

  • 2 years of experience
  • Degree requirement: Associates or Bachelors degree
  • Material Planning
  • Microsoft Office and Excel experience
  • Sense of Urgency


  • (Desired) MRP Planning experience



Summary:

The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.


Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.


• Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.


• Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.


• Set up project and work breakdown structures.


• Establish and document business processes.


• Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.


Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.


• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.


• Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.


• Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.


• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.


Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

Be a part of a team responsible for collaborating with suppliers to ensure material availability in a high pace manufacturing environment. Accountable for managing and analyzing $1M-$8M of inventory for opportunities to eliminate waste and optimize inventory. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to achieve inventory objectives.


Typical task breakdown:

Review various reports and metrics to identify potential issues or opportunities. Determine necessary actions needed to successfully correct the problem. Communicating to all parties regarding status of order via contacts in person, by phone, or email. Performing order revisions as necessary, including changing/adding schedules, opening/closing purchase orders, etc. Serving as a specialist within the group
