Seattle, WA

Description

Please note that this posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment opportunity with the client. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through the client's approved 3rd party Direct Source provider for the duration of the specified project and will not be an employee of the client.

Overview

The client's University Talent Acquisition team owns the university hiring pipeline across all business lines. The team recruits for recent graduate full-time roles (within 2 years of graduation) and internships across corporate functions, with a strong focus on technical roles, SDEs, and Workplace Health & Safety.

This is a backend recruiting role with no sourcing. You'll join at the offer stage and own the process through to day one: coordinating with Hiring Managers, managing onboarding workflows, and ensuring a smooth candidate experience from acceptance to start. This is a backfill supporting peak volume in May and July.

Responsibilities

  • Own the offer-to-start workflow; no sourcing involved
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to move candidates through onboarding efficiently
  • Verify requisition details are accurate and consistent with intake
  • Coordinate offer acceptance, pre-hire documentation, and start date confirmations
  • Maintain clear candidate and stakeholder communication (99% email response within 3 business days)
  • Document process status and escalate blockers appropriately
  • Support peak hiring volume in May and July
  • Assist with immigration docs, relocation, and screening coordination as needed

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 1+ years experience backend recruiting: offer management, onboarding, admin workflows (not sourcing focused)
  • Strong attention to detail and SLA adherence
  • Stakeholder and HM communication ownership experience
  • Clear written communicator

Nice-to-Have:

  • Former Amazon or Big Tech experience (e.g. Microsoft)
  • Familiarity with UW, Seattle U, or local university pipelines
  • Experience with immigration docs, relocation, or compliance workflows

Titles of Interest:

  • Recruiting Coordinator, TA Specialist, Jr Recruiting PM, HR generalist (if hands-on candidate engagement and logistics oriented)

Disqualifiers:

  • Sourcing-only background

Team & Culture

By the time you're working with a candidate, they already have an offer and they're excited. Your job is to take the logistics weight off their shoulders and make sure nothing slows them down between the close and day one. The team is collaborative and intentional about culture, prioritizing social support and resilience through high-volume peaks.

Amazon Leadership Principles

  • Ownership: You take accountability for your work, follow through without being asked, and treat every candidate interaction as your responsibility
  • Bias for Action: You move quickly, make sound decisions with the information available, and don't wait for perfect conditions to act

Logistics:

  • Duration: 3 months (extension or team pivot possible based on performance)
  • Location: Seattle WA (Fully onsite)
  • Schedule: M-F, 9am - 5pm PT, 40 hrs/week, no OT expected
  • Interview: 1 round, 45 minutes with Hiring Manager
  • Start: ASAP
