We are a small Boston-based immigration law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to individuals, families, researchers, physicians, entrepreneurs, and businesses navigating the U.S. immigration system. We are seeking a motivated junior-level Business Immigration Attorney with 1–3 years of immigration law experience to join our team in a hybrid role based in Boston, Massachusetts (Government Center).
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have some prior experience preparing complex immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and a strong interest in developing expertise in employment-based immigration matters with a particular focus on (academics, researchers, physicians, scientists, etc.). You will work under the supervision and receive training from a senior attorney with decades of experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be on preparing employment-based immigration petitions, including:
- National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions
- Extraordinary Ability (EB-1A) petitions
- Outstanding Researcher petitions
- O-1 petitions
- J-1 Waiver applications
- Other nonimmigrant visa petitions such as H-1B’s
- Handle some family-based immigration matters, including applications for adjustment of status and naturalization applications.
- Prepare clients for USCIS interviews and provide strategic case guidance.
- Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence issued in connection with any filings.
- Communicate directly with clients, HR representatives, government agencies, and supporting experts.
- Review and analyze case eligibility, supporting evidence, and legal strategies.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely filing of applications and petitions.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and oversee a team of paralegals to provide high-quality client service.
Qualifications
Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 1–3 years of immigration law experience.
- Experience preparing employment-based immigration petitions.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and caseloads effectively.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with NIW, EB-1A Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researchers, R, O-1, and J-1 Waiver cases.
- Immediate availability strongly preferred.
