We are seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in corporate immigration law, handling a variety of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions to join our established and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lateral hire looking to deepen their expertise, take on meaningful client work, and grow within a firm that values precision, integrity, and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities


As a member of our legal team, you will:

  • Manage complex employment-based immigration matters including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM, and other nonimmigrant and immigrant visa benefits applications.
  • Represent corporate clients in all aspects of business immigration, including government interviews and compliance matters.
  • Prepare and review legal filings, petitions, and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Advise clients and HR teams on immigration strategy, timelines, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure quality and consistency across casework and contribute to firm-wide best practices.
  • Conduct independent legal research and communicate with government agencies to support case development.
  • Work collaboratively with Partners and Sr. Associate in case matters including shared corporate client case matters.
  • Mentor legal staff, sharing insights and guidance on case preparation and client service.
  • Participate in firm initiatives, including process improvement, knowledge sharing, and drafting content for the firm’s website as well as shared templates.


Qualifications

  • J.D. degree and active bar license in at least one U.S. state.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney in corporate immigration law handling a variety of both nonimmigrant and immigrant case matters.
  • Strong command of employment-based immigration processes and filings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, legal technology, and case management systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work.


Work Environment, Pay Range & Benefits

  • Location: Based in San Francisco with flexibility for hybrid work (subject to partner approval).
  • Technology: Notebook PC provided; secure internet and private workspace with external monitor(s) required for remote work.
  • Pay Range: $95,000-125,000 commensurate with relevant work experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 90% of the workday).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for file and box handling.
