Our Wellesley, MA office is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven professional to support and expand our growing client and consultant network. This role combines primarily business development, account management, and networking, offering a clear path for long-term professional growth within our organization.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business, maintaining and expanding existing client relationships, and sourcing, networking and assisting with on boarding of qualified existing and new technical consultants. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue growth by building strong relationships with healthcare IT clients and candidates within our niche market. The sales cycle is long and builds on itself.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Management
- Develop and expand relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Healthcare IT space
- Conduct outreach to prospective clients via phone, email, and social media to generate leads and build a strong pipeline
- Partner with clients to understand technology resource needs and deliver tailored consulting solutions.
- Assist with RFP responses, marketing efforts, and industry outreach initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events, including coordinating meetings with prospects and clients
Account Development & Operations
- Maintain accurate client and candidate data within internal systems
- Research target companies and industry trends to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate closely with team members to support placements and ensure client satisfaction
- Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- 3–5+ years of inside sales, business development and client management
- Strong phone presence and comfort with high-volume outreach
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and persistence
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and computer skills with a strong interest in learning and working in the healthcare IT industry.
