Position Overview: The firm are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a strong background in the AEC industry to join their growing team. This isn't a traditional business development role — the focus is on relationship management rather than new business hunting. The BDM will play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting the sales function, and contributing to the firm's continued growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives
  • Work closely with the sales function to identify and progress opportunities through relationship-led engagement
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and partners, representing the firm with credibility and professionalism
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align business development activity with wider company goals
  • Support the growth of the firm through strategic relationship management and a long-term, partnership-focused approach


Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience within the AEC industry — a deep understanding of this space is essential
  • Proven track record in relationship management and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels
  • A collaborative, people-first approach with the drive to make an impact in a growing organization
  • Experience supporting or working alongside a sales function is advantageous
