We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our client in Oak Brook, IL. This is a hybrid contract opportunity supporting utility customer operations with a strong focus on Oracle systems and billing processes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
- Experience with O2M (Order-to-Meter) and MDM (Meter Data Management)
- Background in utility customer operations
- Experience supporting credit and collections processes
- Strong SQL querying skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and present operational, performance, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and analyze large datasets to support business insights and reporting needs.
- Support Billing IT projects by gathering requirements, creating and approving test scenarios, and assisting with Change Management activities.
- Troubleshoot operational and IT-related issues and coordinate with internal teams to drive resolution.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- High proficiency with standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of utility billing processes and customer service programs, including rate structures, payments, and service orders.
- Familiarity with utility workflows such as meter-to-cash, outage management, and customer interaction channels.
- Direct experience with Oracle CC&B and/or MDM, preferably within a regulated utility environment.
- Proven experience developing and executing test scenarios, performing system and user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing defect tracking and resolution.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong verbal, written communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
