Position Overview

The Billing Associate will be responsible for managing client invoicing and assisting with the recovery of outstanding account balances from unpaid invoices. This role requires a combination of customer service skills and financial acumen to support our business markets and their clients.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate invoicing and customized billing for clients by coordinating with various market sales teams and sales leadership.
  • Review and approve billing setup for new placements and assist with auditing bill rates, VMS fees, volume discounts, and other billing terms according to the applicable MSA/PSA.
  • Perform regular analysis of Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) to track funding utilization across markets.
  • Review and manage account balances to identify outstanding debts and initiate the collections process.
  • Research unpaid invoices, determine root causes, and execute appropriate follow-up actions through professional communication and consistent outreach.
  • Prepare regular reports on collection activity and account status for the Billing Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Client Success Managers, and other HQ support departments, to improve customer satisfaction and reduce delinquencies.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of professional work experience (customer service, finance, or accounting experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple channels, including Microsoft Teams, email, phone, and video conferencing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software applications.
  • High level of professionalism and patience when handling challenging situations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
