Legal Secretary – Bankruptcy & Commercial Litigation


Salary & Benefits: $90,000 – $105,000 annually, plus benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.)

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time, Hybrid


LHH is partnering with a national law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with strong bankruptcy expertise and commercial litigation experience for their Downtown Los Angeles. While the role includes bankruptcy work, the majority of responsibilities will focus on commercial litigation support.


Responsibilities:

  • Draft and format correspondence, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Prepare and file legal documents timely and accurately with state and federal courts
  • Maintain attorney calendars and manage deadlines
  • Arrange meetings, conference calls, and travel as needed
  • Handle creditor-side bankruptcy litigation (Chapters 7, 11, & 13)
  • Draft and serve discovery documents
  • Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support
  • Perform e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Organize and manage high-volume cases in a fast-paced environment


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of bankruptcy experience, including Chapters 7, 11, & 13
  • Strong background in commercial litigation
  • Proficiency in legal software and e-filing systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage a heavy workload
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
