Role Description The Automation Integration Specialist will work on-site in Louisville, KY in a full-time capacity, supporting the deployment and optimization of AGV and AMR systems within customer facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and integrating automation hardware and software, executing system tests, and validating interfaces with existing manufacturing and IT systems. The specialist will diagnose and resolve integration and performance issues, coordinate with cross-functional project teams, and document system designs, test results, and configuration changes. The role also involves collaborating with customers on requirements, training plant-floor personnel on system operation, and supporting launch activities to ensure stable, high-uptime performance. Ongoing responsibilities include monitoring live systems, analyzing operational data, and recommending improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and throughput.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, particularly in automation or industrial environments; familiarity with AGV/AMR or industrial control systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in production settings.
  • Experience with software development or scripting (e.g., Python, C#, or similar) for integration, automation, or data processing tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES), PLCs, industrial networks, or fleet management platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in a plant environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing production priorities.
