POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an attorney within the firm’s trusts and estates practice group, this role will involve advising clients in the areas of post-death trust and estate administration and traditional estate planning. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with firm attorneys in the areas of complex wealth transfer planning and business succession planning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of law firm experience counseling clients in probate, trust administration, Nebraska inheritance tax proceedings, and post-death planning involving estate, income, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, as well as general fiduciary compliance. Previous exposure to complex wealth transfer planning and business succession planning principles is not required but will be viewed favorably. This role offers the opportunity to become a key member of a well-established trusts & estates practice that continues to see rapid growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
· Must be currently admitted to practice law in Nebraska, with a license in good standing. Licensure in additional states is not required but will be considered.
· Minimum of five (5) years of law firm experience in estate planning, estate and trust administration, wealth transfer planning and/or business succession planning.
· Experience designing and preparing estate planning documents such as wills, powers of attorney, revocable living trusts and irrevocable trusts.
· Demonstrated experience representing clients in probate proceedings, Nebraska inheritance tax proceedings and counseling fiduciaries and beneficiaries in post-death trust administration matters.
· Experience working with high-net-worth business owners, individuals and families in the areas of wealth transfer planning, business succession planning and legacy planning will be viewed favorably.

COMPENSATION:
Annual salary of $130,000+ (negotiable and commensurate with experience) and an objective bonus structure.
