POSITION GOAL: This position is responsible for completing supportive administrative tasks in the Accounting department within the agency. Within the Accounting department (reporting to the Director of Finance): the person in this position would be responsible for the remittance of agency purchases and maintenance of Accounts Payable documentation. All functions and communications should be conducted in a professional manner with customer service as a constant goal. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

  1. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education and/or experience:

High School Diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of AP experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

  1. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required.

  1. Language Skills:

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals or technical procedures written in English, the ability to type reports and business correspondence in English, and the ability to effectively communicate in English.

  1. Skills/Abilities:

The position requires intermediate experience in Excel, and an ability to use Financial Database Systems. Must have excellent data entry and organization skills, initiative, and good judgment. Must be able to handle impromptu projects in a professional manner. Time management and prioritizing are essential.

  1. Physical Demands and Working Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this position. This position requires a moderate amount of sitting, walking and the frequent use of hands and arms. Talking and listening will be a major component. Occasionally, light lifting will be required. The ability to visually focus with the eyes for close range and be able to distinguish colors is required. The work environment is a typical climate-controlled office environment and the noise is usually moderate, but in occasional situations, louder noise will be prevalent.
