Position Overview
The Ocean & Air Import Coordinator will be responsible for managing end-to-end import shipments (both ocean and air) from origin through final delivery, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full-cycle Ocean and Air Import shipments
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and customs brokers
- Prepare and process import documentation (ISF, Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, etc.)
- Monitor shipment milestones and ensure timely delivery
- Provide accurate billing, cost control, and file profitability review
- Maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company SOPs
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or claims efficiently
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Ocean and/or Air Import within freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of U.S. import regulations and documentation
- Experience working with CFS, airlines, steamship lines, and trucking providers
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software (CargoWise preferred)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
