AI Automation Engineer
Circle Delivers | Entry-Level | Fort Wayne, IN
The Pitch
We're one of the largest and fastest growing freight brokers in the nation. Every sales, operations and marketing team on the planet wastes hours on manual work and makes decisions on data that's either stale, scattered, or not being looked at. We want someone who finds those problems and builds the tools that fix them.
We need builders. Not last semester, not "once I graduate," not "I have a doc full of ideas." If your last 7 days don't include something you actually delivered, this isn't your role.
Who You Are
You're finishing up (or just finished) a degree in computer science, software development, data science, or something in that neighborhood. You've watched traditional dev roles tighten as AI reshapes the field. Instead of fighting that wave, you've been riding it. Building with it. Bending it to do things your syllabus never covered.
You get that AI isn't a threat to your career. It is your career. You've been hooking LLMs up to real data, automating stuff that annoyed you, and building things nobody asked you to build. You're just as comfortable pulling insights out of a messy dataset as you are wiring up an API. You want to build the automation and do the analysis that helps a team move faster.
Tools You Should Already Know
Working knowledge, not buzzword familiarity, of:
Bonus points if you've touched LangChain, v0, Replit Agent, Zapier, or built anything using an MCP protocol.
What You'll Actually Do
AI Engineering:
Data and Reporting:
You'll work alongside experienced mentors, but you own your projects and deliver from day one.
What We Actually Need You to Know
Integrations. You can get two systems talking to each other. APIs, webhooks, auth flows. If it has documentation, you can figure it out.
Data quality and analysis. You get that automation is only as good as the data feeding it. You can clean messy datasets, spot what's off, and turn numbers into something leadership can act on.
PoC discipline. You know the difference between a demo and a production system. You can scope it, run it against real data, and present results honestly.
This Is Entry-Level. It Is Not Easy.
We don't care about your GPA. We care about what you've built. Show us your last three builds. GitHub repo, Loom walkthrough, screenshots, a working demo. Whatever shows the work.
How to Apply
