We are partnering with the Chief Financial Officer of a $50M organization in Tempe, AZ, to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is open due to a replacement and will play a key role in supporting cash flow, collections, and process improvement initiatives.

This position offers strong visibility within a collaborative accounting team of five and the opportunity to contribute to a stable and growing organization.


Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Reports to: Accounting Manager


Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices

• Reduce days sales outstanding and monitor aging reports

• Upload and process invoices through customer portals

• Post payments including cash, checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards

• Perform collections outreach, including follow-ups and payment reminders

• Analyze customer payment trends and identify at-risk accounts

• Recommend credit holds or changes to payment terms as needed

• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies

• Assist with the validation of the cost of goods sold and other accounting support tasks

• Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties


Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

• 1+ years of accounts receivable experience

• Experience with collections, invoicing, and payment posting

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Zoho

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Self-starter with a mindset for process improvement
