About the Job
Reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Specialist role is a high‑visibility, high‑impact leadership role within the Finance Department at TFI USA.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit invoices through ERP and customer-required channels (EDI, email, mail).
- Confirm shipment details (BOL, quantities, pricing, margins) and minimize delayed billing.
- Respond to internal and external billing inquiries promptly.
- Create manual billings for returns, credits, and adjustments.
- Send daily margin reports to Sales and Management.
- Manage and resolve customer deductions:
- Gather and analyze deduction documentation.
- Approve valid deductions or route for approval.
- Dispute invalid deductions via email or customer portals and follow through to resolution.
- Collaborate with Sales to resolve uncollectible items.
- Maintain accurate AR records and document retention.
- Support month-end close and provide audit documentation.
- Post daily cash, reconcile payments, clear discrepancies, and manage suspense items.
- Prepare cash receipt reporting and assist with daily cash management.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and continuously identify process improvements.
- Cross-train and support other AR functions.
- Maintain professional communication and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
Requirements/Education/Experience/Skills)
- 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience (food industry preferred).
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Strong math and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to follow company policies and safety requirements (including pre-employment drug screening).
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Collaborating for others and participating in a positive work environment.
- Superb time management and detail orientation
- Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel

Hourly Range: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour
This range represents the expected base hourly rate for this position. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and other factors. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
