Core Accounting / ERP

• Viewpoint Vista (top priority in subcontracting environments)
• Viewpoint Spectrum
• Sage 300 Construction (Timberline)
• QuickBooks (less common but still useful)

Construction-Specific Tools

• Textura (very important – subcontractor payments & compliance)
• Procore (for invoice tracking tied to projects)

General Tools

• Microsoft Excel (look for basic to intermediate – VLOOKUP, reconciliations)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Key Technical Skills

Must-Have

• Full-cycle Accounts Payable processing
• Invoice coding (especially to cost codes / job codes)
• 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt)
• Vendor management & communication
• Payment runs (checks / ACH / wires)
• Reconciliations

Construction-Specific Skills (BIG Advantage)

• Experience in construction or subcontracting
• Understanding of job costing / cost codes
• Handling high-volume invoices tied to projects
• Experience with lien waivers
• Familiarity with compliance documentation (W-9s, COIs)

Soft Skills

• Strong organization & time management
