Role Description This full-time, on-site Accounts Payable Specialist role is based in Dallas, TX. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, verifying approvals, processing expense reports and ensuring timely and accurate payments. Daily activities include reconciling vendor statements, researching and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies, and preparing journal entries related to accounts payable and expense accounts. The role also includes reviewing and processing employee expense reports, maintaining organized and accurate records, and supporting month-end close activities. The specialist will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, adhere to internal controls and company policies, and contribute to process improvements within the finance function.


Qualifications

  • Strong accounting knowledge, including Accounts Payable processes, Accounting principles, and preparation of Journal Entries (Accounting).
  • Experience reviewing and processing Expense Reports with attention to policy compliance and accurate coding.
  • Solid Finance and Analytical Skills to reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and support reporting and month-end close.
  • Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables) is preferred.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment; prior exposure to aviation or industrial sectors is a plus.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
