AP Manager – Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP)
Robert Half is hiring an Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals (FTEP) practice! This role combines the stability of full-time employment with Robert Half and the opportunity to lead AP operations across a variety of project-based engagements at top organizations. You’ll oversee payable functions, streamline processes, guide AP teams, and contribute strategic value in diverse accounting environments.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Oversight
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations for client engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
- Supervise AP specialists and clerks, providing coaching, workflow direction, and performance support
- Serve as the primary AP subject‑matter expert for clients, advising on best practices and operational improvements
Operational Management
- Oversee invoice processing, approvals, three-way matching, and payment cycles
- Review and approve vendor setups, payment batches, and exception items
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve escalated discrepancies or payment issues
Month-End, Reporting & Controls
- Lead AP month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and AP aging analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit requests with documentation and reporting
- Monitor KPIs such as invoice throughput, payment timeliness, and discrepancy resolution
Strategy, Process Improvement & Projects
- Identify and implement AP process enhancements, automation opportunities, and workflow improvements
- Support system migrations or ERP implementations and provide user training as needed
- Contribute to project-based assignments, including engagements with Protiviti, Robert Half’s global consulting subsidiary

Qualifications
- 5+ years of AP experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities
- Advanced knowledge of AP operations, invoice workflows, payment cycles, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems (Business Central, Navision, Oracle, SAP, M3, etc.) and strong Excel skills
- Strong understanding of month-end close processes and AP accrual methodologies
- Proven ability to manage teams, optimize processes, and implement best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
