Accounts Payable & Cash Management Specialist (PeopleSoft)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Cash Management Specialist with strong PeopleSoft experience to support daily financial operations. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, overseeing cash management functions, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, coding, and approvals
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way match)
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve vendor inquiries
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close related to AP activities

Cash Management

  • Monitor daily cash balances and cash positioning
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Manage cash applications and electronic payments
  • Assist with cash forecasting and reporting
  • Coordinate with banks regarding ACH, wire transfers, and account activity
  • Support treasury-related functions as needed

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize PeopleSoft for invoice processing, payment generation, and reporting
  • Generate and analyze AP and cash management reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system
  • Assist with system improvements and process optimization

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of Accounts Payable and Cash Management experience
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft (required)
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


This position is required to be onsite one day a week in NJ however they might look at fully remote.
