Accounts Payable & Cash Management Specialist (PeopleSoft)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Cash Management Specialist with strong PeopleSoft experience to support daily financial operations. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, overseeing cash management functions, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, coding, and approvals
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way match)
- Maintain vendor records and resolve vendor inquiries
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close related to AP activities
Cash Management
- Monitor daily cash balances and cash positioning
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Manage cash applications and electronic payments
- Assist with cash forecasting and reporting
- Coordinate with banks regarding ACH, wire transfers, and account activity
- Support treasury-related functions as needed
Systems & Reporting
- Utilize PeopleSoft for invoice processing, payment generation, and reporting
- Generate and analyze AP and cash management reports
- Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system
- Assist with system improvements and process optimization
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of Accounts Payable and Cash Management experience
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft (required)
- Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes
- Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
This position is required to be onsite one day a week in NJ however they might look at fully remote.
